Australia batting star Steve Smith is good to go for a re-visitation of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 2023 season, following a gap of two years. He had gone unsold in the 2022 closeout and was later selected, but he pulled out of enlisting his name for the little sale for the sixteenth time of the IPL. Smith affirmed his support through a video on his web-based entertainment handle, and keeping in mind that he didn’t name his group, devotees of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) couldn’t resist the urge to panic.


Smith has previously played in the IPL since 2021 for the Delhi Capitals. Generally, he played for four distinct establishments in the IPL. In his debut season, in 2012, he was roped in by the Rajasthan Royals two seasons later, and later on, he played for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. After the last option establishment was suspended attributable to defilement accusations, he moved base to the Rising Pune Supergiants, where he had driven the side to last in 2017. In 2019, he got back to Rajasthan, and it was reported the captain would be there in 2020.
