KKR to name break skipper for IPL 2023, Shardul Thakur, Sunil Narine leaders for job

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to name a break skipper for the 2023 Indian Premier League  (IPL) season. The sixteenth version of the IPL will start on March 31. In the meantime, KKR will launch their IPL crusade against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali on April 1.

KKR need to conclude soon on their captaincy as the IPL has called all the group chiefs for a gathering on Thursday, March 30. The gathering will be led to refresh the commanders about the new rule changes made by the board, including the Effect Player rule. The double cross heroes will select another chief (break) as their standard captain Shreyas Iyer will miss the primary portion of the IPL inferable from a back physical issue.

According to a report by the Hours of India, KKR’s recently procured player Shardul Thakur and veteran Sunil Narine are serious areas of strength for the captaincy job. KKR is bound to go with the Indian all-rounder Thakur as it would help correspondence with the Indians in the crew. Thakur was purchased by KKR from Delhi Capitals (DC) during the season break.
