Tom Latham will play T20 internationals starting around 2021 when he leads New Zealand in the T20I series at home against Sri Lanka, and away against Pakistan, in April.

T20I regulars like the skipper Tim Southee, Kane Williamson, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell and Lockie Ferguson were not picked in light of the fact that they have been given freedom to play the IPL beginning March 31.

“We saw against India recently the power and scope of shots that Tom has,” New Zealand mentor Gary Stead said about Latham’s re-visitation of the organisation. “His versatility likewise implies he can highlight in a scope of batting positions. He drove an unpracticed T20 crew to Bangladesh in 2021 and we were truly dazzled with his authority during that gathering during a Coronavirus bubble visit.”

The crews incorporate two uncapped players – Chad Bowes and Henry Shipley – while Jimmy Neesham returns subsequently to miss the T20I series in India and the home ODIs against Sri Lanka to play the SA20 and PSL.
