Delhi Capitals couldn’t open their triumphant record, and they played Gujarat Titans in their second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season. There are a few regions that Delhi should upgrade, assuming they wish to challenge for the title next season. One of the greatest issues is their top bat group. For Indian hitters, there are elevated requirements for Prithvi Shaw, but the youthful player hasn’t had the option to show his best this season, much to the mortification of previous India opener Virender Sehwag.
Sehwag, in a talk on Cricbuzz, as per Indian Express, brought up the sluggish development of Shaw since Shaw was the commander of India’s Indian group at the U19 World Cup in 2018. Shubman Gill was Shaw’s colleague at that point and is, as of now, playing in each of the three organisations for India in a similar time span.
He was knocked out by playing the same shots mistakenly in the game, but he needs to improve his game, Sehwag said. “Take a glimpse of Shubman Gill, who started playing cricket at 19 years of age with Sehwag. He is currently playing tests, ODIs, and T20Is for India. Yet Shaw keeps on battling with the IPL. He really wants to capitalise on the benefits of the IPL stage to score runs.
