Virat Kohli, the energetic batsman of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), registered a “historic record” for RCB with his hundred catches in the IPL 2023.

Kohli became the first RCB fielder to take 101 catches in the IPL 2023 to achieve the milestone. He reached such records by attempting in 228 matches to take 100 catches in the IPL. It just happened during the RCB vs. RR match on April 23rd at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Kohli has been a prolific fielder throughout his IPL career, and his 101 catches are the second-highest in IPL history, next to all-rounder Kieron Pollard’s 103 catches. He is followed by batter Suresh Raina, who has taken 109 catches in 204 matches.

Kohli’s achievement is a testament to his athleticism and commitment to fielding, which have been key aspects of his game throughout his career. It is also a reflection of his longevity in the IPL and his importance to the RCB franchise over the years. Now, Kohli is moving towards becoming an allrounder cricketer in IPL, as he is a fantastic Batsman and a good fielder too.
