Ricky Ponting, the former Australian cricketer and the head coach of the Delhi Capitals has spoken about Prithvi Shaw’s struggles in the IPL 2023. Shaw has created only 47 runs in the ongoing season.
In the last season of the IPL, Shaw had a disappointing run, managing to score only 228 runs in 13 matches at an average of 17.53. During the tournament, Ponting commented that Shaw needed to improve his mindset and work harder on his preparation.
However, in the 2021 season, Shaw bounced back strongly, scoring 308 runs in 8 matches at an average of 38.50, with three half-centuries to his name. Ponting was full of praise for Shaw’s performance and credited the young opener for his hard work and dedication.
But right now, he needs some more motivation and practice that can help the Delhi Capitals gain good visibility in the Indian Premier League in 2023.
