MI 2023: Robin Uthappa felt worried about the Mumbai Indians fielding in the IPL.

Published:

The Mumbai Indians are one of the most successful franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL), having won the tournament a record five times. However, like any team, they have also had their share of struggles in the IPL over the years.

In the 2021 IPL season, the Mumbai Indians had a relatively slow start to their campaign, winning just two of their first six matches. One of the main reasons for their struggles was their inconsistent batting, which failed to fire in a few matches. They also had issues with their death bowling and suffered a few close losses. But after playing eight games in the IPL 2023, the Mumbai Indians are still falling down with their poor fielding in the limited-overs league.

Another area of concern for the Mumbai Indians was their fielding, which was below par in a few matches. This was highlighted by captain Rohit Sharma and some of the other players, who expressed their disappointment with the team’s fielding performances. However, they did improve in this area as the season progressed. But still, in the current path, the Mumbai Indians have not resolved all of their issues, and so Robin Uthappa felt concerned regarding their position in the IPL’s play-off.

They won some crucial matches in the ongoing cricket series, but that was not enough because they needed some more wins to get a place in the play-offs of the IPL 2023. However, they are hoping for the best reach in the cash-rich league.
