Rajat Patidar, the finest player of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, was already ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2023 due to an Achilles heel injury. However, on Wednesday, he successfully completed his surgery to get a quick recovery from the pain.

Patidar is a top-order batsman who has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh. He made his List A debut in 2018 and has since scored over 1000 runs in List A cricket at an average of 45.13. He has also played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has a strike rate of 137.43 in T20 cricket.

In the IPL 2021 season, Patidar played in 7 matches for RCB and scored 71 runs at an average of 14.20 and a strike rate of 126.78. He played a crucial role in RCB’s win against the Kolkata Knight Riders, where he scored 31 runs off 22 balls. However, the RCB side is missing Rajat Patidar’s action-hit performance in the ongoing cricket league.

Patidar’s performances in the IPL were not exceptional in the past, but he showed glimpses of his potential and impressed many with his technique and stroke play. He took to Instagram to give an update about his surgery to his genuine Instagram fans on Wednesday. However, the RCB side is doing well, as their 18-run victory in the match against LSG has helped them get fifth place in the point table of the tournament.
