Kapil Dev is unsatisfied with the crowded World Cup squad for India

Published:

India’s World Cup campaign will get underway against Australia on October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. However, India has a very busy schedule this year ahead of the ICC campaign.

Kapil Dev, a former captain of India, expressed his dissatisfaction with the nation’s timetable for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. The eagerly anticipated event will take place in India, with England and New Zealand, the winners of the 2019 tournament, playing each other in the inaugural match on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The ODI World Cup 2023 is just three months away, and India is very busy playing the T20, Test, or ODI format against a particular team. Notably, they have not had much time to prepare to compete against the top teams from different countries. However, the 1983 World Cup winner has admitted that the team’s reaching the finals of the WC would be at risk.

Also, Kapil Dev has highlighted that the BCCI could offer suitable facilities for the Indian cricketers to travel and reach their destination on time. India is playing in more than 11 games, and they need to travel as per the location, and in doing so, they need to get frustrated and tired, which affects their performances, says the Former cricketer of India, Kapil Dev.
