Sanju Samson contributed fifty-plus scores in the last match of the ODI series on August 1st August 2023. His scores has helped India to make 200 runs victory against the West Indies team. However, India won two ODI games successfully under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.
It was the toughest competition for both India and West Indies to pursue and chase victory in each format. After losing in the second ODI match, many of India’s legends have judged Hardik Pandya’s captaincy in the ODI series. Because both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been rested from leading their country’s team.
It was Sanju Samson, who made a half-century along with Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan’s 85 and 77 runs contribution in the 50-over competition. While Sanju Samson has struggled to establish himself in the Indian team. The wicket-keeper batsman has been in and out of the ODI and T20I squads, playing in various positions, but he has never established himself as the brightest cricketer of the series.
