Rohit made the bold remark at the time India disclosed its squad for the upcoming Asia Cup in 2023. India’s skipper specified that he, along with veteran cricketer Virat Kohli, could bowl for some overs in the World Cup 2023.
The BCCI selection committee has declared its 17-player team for the upcoming ACC expedition, which is going to begin on August 30. During the press conference, Rohit, who was with the Chairman of the Indian Selection Committee, Ajit Agarkar, stated that he could handle taking some wickets along with Virat Kohli during the ICC event. Meanwhile, the ODI World Cup is scheduled to begin on October 5 in India, and 2019 WC finalists England and New Zealand will begin the tournament. India will begin their actual campaign against the test cricket champions, Australia, on October 8 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Coming towards the Asia Cup 2023, the Blue team will perform their first game against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2nd at Pallekele International Cricket Ground in Colombo.
