The visitors of the Asia Cup are ready to perform in the Asia tour this year, as the team has disclosed the full schedule to perform in the upcoming Asia Cricket Cup. A total of 13 ODI games will be played by each participant, starting on August 30 and lasting until September 17.

India is going to face Pakistan in the 50-over tour on September 2nd at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. The most exciting thing is that Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are returning from their injuries. Also, the current team captain of India in the Ireland tour, Jasprit Bumrah, has done a stunning job as he took his first wicket as a skipper after an 11-month break. Also, Sanju Samson is off the list, but he will get to perform only if the team finds any injury alerts during the tournament.

Ajit Agarkar, India’s top selector, named the roster for the Asia Cup in New Delhi on Monday afternoon. The announcement came following a selection meeting attended by captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. Star Sports will broadcast the press conference during which chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar names the roster.

With the impending ICC One-Day International World Cup in mind, the Indian Cricket Team’s performance in the continental tournament, which will be contested in a 50-over format this year, would be critical to their hopes at the major event later this year at home. Major concerns have been raised about the fitness of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who have been recovering from thigh and back injuries, respectively. The fitness of speed spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has surprised many throughout the three-match T20I series against Ireland, and he is expected to be included in the Asia Cup side.

India Squad for Asia Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma (captain), Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill [batsman], Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer [batsman], KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav [batsman], Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya [all-rounder], Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur [bowler], Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav [bowler], Jasprit Bumrah, M Shami [bowler], M Siraj, Prasidh Krishan [Bowler], Sanju Samson (back-up keeper)
