Kane Williamson had two weeks left to demonstrate his readiness for the 2023 World Cup

The Kiwi player of New Zealand, Kane Williamson, is yet to get into action in the upcoming Asia Cricket Cup. He is currently recovering from the ACL injury and is continuing in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League [IPL]. He himself was injured in the first match of the IPL in April 2023. And was out of the game very early.

The co-player of the Gujarat Titans has sustained the injury and is yet to make a quick recovery to get placed in the tournament. In the latest reports on Kane, it was found that he has yet to make a speedy recovery in his health. So that he could make it to the Black Caps World Cup squad.

It is not certain that the 15-member actionable team would share their squad with the ICC by September 5, and they can also change without any approval by September 28. Williamson is also trying to recover from an injury within the time limit. The possibility is that he might get placed in the squad to play a relevant game for his team.

Speaking about Williamson’s chances, the head coach of New Zealand, Gary Stead, has admitted that the side is giving him an opportunity to get placed in the 2023 World Cup.
