The BCCI President will attend the opening ceremony of the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan: Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB

The President of the Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] has declared that the Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] Roger Binny is all set to travel outside the country to attend the opening ceremony of the Asia Cup, which begins on August 30.

Meanwhile, Pakistan remains the host for the upcoming Asian tour, but most of the tournaments are going to happen in Sri Lanka. This format was set up over the BCCI reluctant to send its players to Pakistan for the tournament, over  security problems. But the President of the BCCI, Roger Binny along with vice president Rajiv Shukla have confirmed the Pakistan Board’s Proposal of hosting the tournament in Multan at the beginning of the competition.

“The President and Vice President will be in Pakistan for the Asia Cup opening ceremony,” Zaka Ashraf stated, according to Pakistani media. The Pakistan board chief made the remarks at the launch of the men’s national ODI team’s shirt. Ashraf also voiced confidence in his team’s capacity to win both the Asia Cup and the upcoming World Cup. “Our team is right now unified and performing well, and we are ranked first in the ODI team rankings,” he stated.
