India and Australia are ready to face each other at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on October 8, with the petition for the World Cup tickets shooting up. As the host will square off against the five-time champions team, Australia’s tickets have been sold in just 10 minutes. However, the audience is crazy enough to watch the live IND vs. AUS match that will be held in October.
Meanwhile, most of the fans waiting in line were unable to obtain tickets and vented their disappointment on various social media channels. There were multiple assertions made against BCCI and Bookmyshow, the ODI World Cup official ticket partner, that not all the tickets were made public regarding the payment fee for tickets, and so on.
Apart from this, the tickets for India vs. Afghanistan that would be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and also the next match of India against Bangladesh, which were hosted in Maharashtra’s Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, were all sold on the same day only.
India versus Australia will be the first game of the 2023 ODI World Cup. With no ICC trophy, the Indians have suffered many failures, but the most interesting thing is that they are still planning to reduce such losses by winning the title of the tournament.
