The Indians have been putting themselves at proficiency in the ongoing Asia Cricket Cup 2023. The men in blue progressed in the Super Competition by overwhelming Pakistan and Sri Lanka so far, safeguarding themselves as the champions of the series.
Rohit Sharma’s lead side made their fabulous wins in the Asia Cup and Super 4s as they recorded a 228-run victory against Pakistan in their game. However, they defeated Sri Lanka’s side as well by 41 runs in the Super Fours clash.
India only thought to set 213 scores against the Lankan side, but they were able to maintain the total with their magnificent efforts in fielding. Talking about India’s performance, the former cricketer of the country, Gautam Gambhir, highlighted that India’s victory against Sri Lanka was more empathic than its triumph against Pakistan.
The victory against Sri Lanka was more convincing for me than the victory against Pakistan, says Gautam Gambhir on the Sports Channel. There was no doubt about the batting unit of our country’s team. But we were doubtful regarding Jasprit Bumrah’s injury. Notably, we are glad to have Kuldeep Yadav on the field, as added by Gambhir.
