The World Cup is approaching as England completes the ODI series against New Zealand

Published:

England defeated New Zealand by 100 runs during the fourth match of the One Day International with a 3-1 series win on Friday. The opener, Dawid Malan, has scored 127 off 114 balls, significantly adding to the total of 311-9 with the Super 50 overs. However, it was a crucial stage for Jos Buttler that he handled very well.

On the other hand, New Zealand has been intensely caught out by England since the 2019 World Cup finals. And also in the same spot, they badly faced a defeat in the leakage of their run to 211 all-wicket down within 38.2 overs.

Both teams were missing a slew of their opening players, which is why they functionally dressed for the opening games of the World Cup 2023, which will be conducted on October 5. After a successful captaincy, Jos believes that his side is strong enough to dominate the ODI World Cup in 2023.

I think we are glad that we have good opportunities to grow in our careers. The style in which it happened is the main focus for all of us. However, we are ready to play and win in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, says Buttler after the match ends.
