Anrich was dealing with a lower back injury. And also, Magala is nursing a left knee injury problem. South Africa is planning to travel to India on September 23rd. The final call for duo players will be given before they leave for India. Indicating that both teams are likely to miss the bus.

It was really difficult that the duo players might be missing out on performing in the opening games of the ODI series. It would definitely be cause for concern, as we would have wanted them out. It would be more complicated for us to take off with the injured players in India.

The medical reasons were bartered out, and Anrich Nortje and Sisanda Magala were ruled out. However, they will call back Andile Phehlukwayo to the squad for the ICC event. Andile is the exceptional player who batted outstandingly, says Walter.
