Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain, is at an earlier stage of recovering from an injury. It is clear that he will be unavailable to perform in the first game of the ODI tournament. Also, it is not clear when he will be found in action in the ICC Cricket event.

The 33-year-old veteran player faces an ACL injury during the Indian Premier League in 2023. He was injured while fielding for the Gujarat Titans, and he has not recovered from his injury, due to which he will be unavailable to perform in the opening games.

According to the situation, Williamson is slightly missing the opening games against England, which will be held on October 5. However, he took the hardest treatment and has spent a huge time in his health recovery. The possibility says that he might bat in the two warm-up games against Pakistan and South Africa. But he is unfit to field on the 50-over tour.

The head coach, Gary Stead, has clearly said that they will trace the fitness stage of Kane in these two trial matches, and he will not bat in the opening match of an ICC event for sure.
