Royal Challengers Bangalore [RCB] has declared a new change in their franchise as they hire Luke Williams to their team. Luke will be the new head coach of the women’s team in the Indian Premier League in 2024. However, the Australian cricketer will swap Ben Sawyer’s position in the women’s team of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the background of Williams, it’s found that the veteran cricketer took a lot of actions with his batting in the past tournament to contribute huge scores for South Australia. In terms of his coaching experience, Luke Williams was the good trainer of the Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League [WBBL], and under his guidelines, they won the title in 2022. Before that, he also provided training to its team in 2019 and 2021, in which they finished as runner-up.

Apart from this, he also assisted as the team trainer for the Southern Brave in the Women’s Hundred 2023, which they claimed as the winning title of the tournament. In addition to this, he also trained the South Australian Scorpio in the Women’s International Cricket Series [the 50-over tour].

I am very excited to work with new people, and I appreciate that they provided me with this opportunity for which I will try my best to provide their good results in the end, says Luke Williams.
