World Cup 2023: Netherlands counterattack, as Pakistan Loses Seven Wickets in Match against Pakistan

Published:

Pakistan were in a spot of trouble in their match against the Netherlands in the 2023 Cricket World Cup after losing their seven wickets. However, they managed to recover and win the match by a narrow margin.

Pakistan had been in a comfortable position at 100-1 after 20 overs, but they lost quick wickets in the middle order. Mohammed Rizwan was dismissed for 68, and Saud Shakeel was also dismissed at the same score. Pakistan were 252-7, and the Netherlands bowlers were sensing an upset.

However, Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammed Nawaz put on a crucial partnership right now to stabilise the innings.

The Netherlands bowlers did a good job of containing the Pakistani batsmen in the middle order. Bas de Leede was the most successful bowler, with two wickets for 34 runs.

Rizwan was the first to hit beyond fifty, as he made 68 runs for the team. He has been in excellent form throughout the tournament, and he is currently the leading run-scorer. With this spirit, the men in green are hoping to boost their team scores in the ODI tour. While Netherlands bowling is affecting the Pakistani players, they are doubtful that it will stop them from making 300+ scores in the 50-over format.
