Jos Buttler’s Honest Confession Following England’s Defeat in Afghanistan.

Published:

The skipper of England, Jos Buttler, has accepted that Afghanistan has outplayed his team in the ongoing Cricket World Cup [CWC] clash in Delhi. However, the 13th match resulted in Afghanistan winning by 69 runs against England.

During the World Cup conflict, England won the toss and smartly made the move to bowl first. While the Afghans gave up the target of 284 with an all-out in 49.5 overs, But opponents felt incapable of reaching the targeted score, and unfortunately, they had to face a loss in that match. It’s really the biggest thing that Afghans have dismissed the 2019 ODI World Cup winner, which expresses the competition level.

Being disappointed to win the toss, we missed many great opportunities at the beginning of the competition, as their side set the tone. All credit to them, as they outplayed us in today’s match. It actually came downstream from the game execution. While we are good at our level, as per the competition level, we just need to develop our game in both bat and bowl to bit our opponents in the next game, says Jos Buttler during the post-match presentation.
