Adam Zampa admits he wasn’t feeling well while playing against Sri Lanka, saying, “I wasn’t feeling great.”

The leg spinner Adam Zampa declared on Monday that he has been suffering from back swelling over the last couple of working days. But still, he played enormously and didn’t let his pain affect the game. However, his approach to the game has helped the Aussies post a 5-wicket win against Sri Lanka.

The 31-year-old smashed the figure with 8-1-47-4 as Australia posted their first campaign win after two losses in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He somehow managed to get the player of the match reward after returning to the impressive figure of the wicket record in the ongoing Cricket World Cup.

Frankly speaking, I wasn’t feeling grateful as I dealt with the back spasm. And I was playing through the last couple of days. Today I felt better and bowled outstandingly, says Zampa after the match ended against Sri Lanka in the ODI World Cup.

Notably, it was not my best and the last game of the tournament, as I could have done something better. My work is to get great players out of an opponent team, and I did it well. But it’s not enough, as we need to come out with more posture in our performance, says Adam Zampa.
